Purpose

NoiseWatch is an independent public-interest service for recording community observations of helicopter noise. It is not a police, government, aviation, or emergency service, and it does not send official complaints on your behalf.

Responsible reporting

Submit reports based on noise you actually hear. Do not fabricate activity, impersonate other reporters, automate abusive submissions, or use the service to target or harass individuals. Do not submit private information about another person.

What the data means

Reports reflect community observations, not verified aircraft identification, measured sound levels, confirmed flight paths, or a complete record of activity. A report does not establish who operated an aircraft. Maps and counts may be rounded, grouped, filtered, corrected, or removed. An absence of displayed reports is not evidence that no noise occurred.

Availability and limitations

The service is provided as available and may change or be interrupted. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, suitability for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Do not rely on NoiseWatch for emergency response, flight safety, or decisions requiring verified evidence. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy and moderation

Our Privacy Policy explains how report and technical information are handled. We may restrict access or remove records that are abusive, inaccurate, unlawful, or inconsistent with the site's purpose.
